- 1.6
- Counter-Strike version 1.6 – The final and most popular version of the original Counter-Strike, released in 2003.
- 180
- 180-degree turn. Used to measure sensitivity (how much mouse movement for 180° turn). Example: “My sens is perfect – 180 takes about 10cm.”
- 1v1, 1v2, 1v3, etc.
- Player count situations. “1v1” = one vs one. “1v5” = one vs five (clutch situation).
- 1-tap / One-tap
- Killing an enemy with a single shot, usually a headshot. Example: “Clean 1-tap!”
- 4:3, 16:9, 16:10
- Aspect ratios. 4:3 is old-school (often stretched), 16:9 is widescreen, 16:10 is in-between. Many pros prefer 4:3 stretched.
- 5-7 / Five-Seven
- CT pistol. $750, 20 round magazine, accurate and powerful. Great eco weapon.
A
- Ace
- One player kills all 5 enemies in a single round. The ultimate achievement. Example: “He just got an ace!”
- ADR (Average Damage per Round)
- Statistical measure of performance. Average damage dealt per round. 70+ ADR = good, 80+ = great, 90+ = pro level.
- AFK (Away From Keyboard)
- Player is inactive/not at computer. Often results in kick for inactivity.
- Aim Map
- Practice map for improving aim. Simple maps (aim_map, aim_ak-colt) with long corridors. Aim guide
- Aimbot
- Cheat software that aims automatically. Locks crosshair onto enemy heads. Using it = instant ban. Don’t cheat.
- AK-47 / AK
- Terrorist rifle. $2500, one-shot headshot kill at any range. Most popular weapon. High damage, high recoil.
- AMX Mod X
- Server plugin framework. Adds admin commands, custom features, anti-cheat. Essential for server management.
- Anchor
- Player who holds a site alone. Delays attackers until teammates rotate. Example: “I’ll anchor B.”
- Anti-Eco
- Round where one team has full equipment vs eco team. Expected win for team with guns. Losing anti-eco is devastating.
- Apartment / Apps
- Map location on Inferno. The apartment building leading to A site. Long corridors, must clear slowly.
- Arch / Arches
- Map location on Inferno A site. The archway area. Common CT position watching Apartments.
- Auto / Auto-Sniper
- Semi-automatic sniper rifles (G3SG1 for T, SG550 for CT). $5000, high fire rate, often considered “noob” weapons.
- AWP
- Arctic Warfare Police sniper rifle. $4750, one-shot kill to body/head. Slow movement, slow fire rate. Most iconic CS weapon.
- AWPer
- Player who specializes in AWP. Dedicated sniper role. Usually star player (e.g., markeloff, GuardiaN, kennyS).
B
- B / B Site
- Bombsite B. One of two plant locations on defuse maps. Usually closer to T spawn than A site.
- Backstab
- Killing someone from behind with knife. Instant kill. Highly disrespectful but effective.
- Bait / Baiting
- Using teammate as bait to get kills. Letting teammate die first to gather info. Can be strategic or selfish.
- Banana
- Map location on Inferno. Curved pathway from T spawn to B site. Key control area, narrow choke point.
- Basement / Lower
- Lower level on Nuke B site. Accessed via ramp or vents. Dark, confusing area.
- Bhop / Bunny Hop
- Movement technique to maintain speed. Jump repeatedly while strafing. Allows faster movement than running. Requires precise timing.
- Bind
- Assigning a command to a key. Example:
bind "f" "+use". Common: buy scripts, jump throw. Config guide - Blind
- Being flashed/unable to see. Example: “I’m blind!” Also: “full blind” (completely white screen).
- Bomb / C4
- C4 explosive. Terrorists must plant at A or B site. CT must defuse. 45 second timer (default). Plant time: 3 sec. Defuse: 10 sec (5 with kit).
- Boost / Boosting
- One player stands on another to reach higher positions. Allows access to unreachable spots. Common on Train, Nuke.
- Box / Boxes
- Wooden crates on maps. Provide cover. Can be wallbanged. Specific callouts vary by map (e.g., “double box” on Dust2 A).
- B Rush
- All 5 T’s rush B site together at round start. Fast, aggressive strategy. Hard to stop without coordination.
- Buy Round
- Round where team has money for full equipment. Rifles, armor, full nades. Opposite of eco round.
- Buy Time / Buytime
- Time allowed to purchase weapons at round start. Default 45 seconds. Setting:

- C4
- The bomb. See “Bomb”.
- Cactus
- Map location on Aztec. The cactus plant in middle area. Common callout.
- Call / Callout
- Communicating enemy positions to team. Example: “Two long A!” Good calls = team wins.
- Camp / Camping
- Staying in one position for extended time. Waiting for enemies. Often used negatively but valid strategy in certain situations.
- Cat / Catwalk
- Map location on Dust2. Elevated walkway from T spawn to A site. Also called “Short A”.
- Cheese Spot / Cheese Angle
- Unconventional hiding spot that’s rarely checked. Effective but risky (if they know, you’re trapped).
- Choke Point
- Narrow passage that forces players through. Easy to defend, hard to push. Example: Banana on Inferno.
- Clutch
- Winning a round when outnumbered. Usually 1v2 or worse. Requires skill, composure, luck. Example: “Amazing 1v4 clutch!”
- Clutch or Kick
- Toxic phrase pressuring last player alive. Don’t say this – it doesn’t help.
- Config / Config.cfg
- Configuration file with all game settings. Controls sensitivity, binds, graphics, rates. Located in
cstrike/folder. Download configs - Console
- Command-line interface to control game. Press ~ (tilde) to open. Input commands, change settings, see info.
- Counter-Strafe
- Movement technique to stop instantly. Press opposite key to stop momentum. Essential for accuracy. Example: Moving right (D) → tap left (A) = instant stop.
- Crossfire
- Two players holding angles that intersect. Enemy can’t peek both at once. Extremely effective defensive setup.
- Crosshair
- Aiming reticle in center of screen. Shows where bullets go. Customizable: color, size, dynamic/static.
- CS_ (cs_office, cs_italy, etc.)
- Hostage rescue map prefix. “cs” stands for Counter-Strike. CT rescues hostages, T prevents. Less common in competitive.
- CT / Counter-Terrorist
- Defending team. Must prevent bomb plant or defuse planted bomb. Start with $800. Win: kill all T’s, defuse bomb, or time runs out.
D
- De_ (de_dust2, de_inferno, etc.)
- Defuse map prefix. “de” stands for defuse. Standard competitive map type. T plants bomb, CT defuses.
- Deagle / Desert Eagle
- Most powerful pistol. $650, one-shot headshot at close-medium range. High skill weapon. Favorite eco weapon.
- Default
- Starting positions at round start. Standard setup before executing strategy. T’s spread out for info, CT’s hold sites.
- Defuse / Defuse Kit
- Tool to defuse bomb faster. $200, reduces defuse time from 10 to 5 seconds. Essential for CT’s. Also called: kit, defuser.
- Demo
- Recorded gameplay file. Can be replayed to review matches, study opponents, create frag movies. File extension: .dem
- Dink
- Headshot that doesn’t kill (with helmet). Makes distinctive “ding” sound. Example: “I dinked him twice!”
- DM / Deathmatch
- Game mode with instant respawn. No objectives, just killing. Used for aim practice and warmup.
- Doors / Double Doors
- Map location on Dust2. The two doors connecting T spawn to mid. Famous AWP duel spot.
- Double Stack / Double Box
- Two boxes stacked on top of each other. Dust2 A site has famous double boxes for cover.
- Drop
- 1) Giving weapon to teammate. Press G. Sharing economy. 2) Falling from height. Example: “Drop me AWP” or “Drop to B site”
- Dry Peek
- Peeking corner without utility. Risky – no flash/smoke cover. Often punished by good players.
- Dust2 / de_dust2
- Most popular CS 1.6 map. Simple layout, balanced, slightly T-sided. Every player knows Dust2. Dust2 guide
E
- Eco / Eco Round
- Round where team saves money intentionally. Buy minimal equipment to afford full buy next round. Strategy: get 1-2 kills, plant bomb, save guns. Economy guide
- Economy
- Team money management system. Deciding when to buy, save, or force. Critical strategic element. Money sources: wins, plants, kills, loss bonus.
- Elbow
- Map location on Dust2. The corner at lower tunnels / mid connection. Common pre-aim spot.
- Entry Fragger
- Player who enters site first. Role: get opening kill and create space. High risk, high impact. Goal: trade 1-for-1 or better.
- ESP (Extra Sensory Perception)
- Cheat showing additional information. Displays names, health, weapons through walls. Using = ban.
- ex_interp
- Network interpolation setting. Controls player movement smoothness. Critical for hit registration. Values: 0.01 (LAN), 0.02 (online), 0.05 (high ping). Rates guide
- Execute / Execute Strategy
- Coordinated team push with utility. All players move together with smokes, flashes. Example: “Execute A on 3, 2, 1… go!”
F
- Fake / Fake Execute
- Pretending to attack one site, then going to another. Make noise at A, rush B when CT’s rotate. Forces rotations, creates advantage.
- Famas
- CT rifle. $2250, cheaper alternative to M4A1. Lower damage but affordable on force buys. Has 3-round burst mode.
- Ferrari Peek
- Extremely fast wide peek. Dangerous but effective for catching enemies off-guard. Named for the speed.
- Flash / Flashbang
- Grenade that blinds players. $200, essential utility. Blinds enemies looking at explosion. Can carry 2 max. Duration: 3-5 seconds.
- Flick / Flick Shot
- Quick mouse movement to aim and shoot. Snap to target and fire. Requires muscle memory. Famous: AWP flick shots.
- Force Buy / Force
- Buying with limited money instead of saving. Risky economic decision. Usually SMG + armor. When: MUST win next round (14-15 score).
- FPS (Frames Per Second)
- Visual smoothness measure. Higher FPS = smoother gameplay, better response. Target: 100+ FPS. Command:

- Kill. Term from old FPS games. “Got a frag” = got a kill. Frag movie = highlight video.
- Freeze Time
- Period at round start where you can’t move. Time to buy and plan. Default 5 seconds. Setting:
mp_freezetime 5 - Full Buy
- Buying all equipment: rifle, armor, full nades, defuse kit. Maximum investment in round.
- Full Eco
- Buying nothing. Save all money. Usually done for 1-2 rounds to afford full buy.
G
- Galil
- Terrorist rifle. $2000, cheaper alternative to AK-47. Lower damage but affordable on force buys.
- Game Sense
- Strategic understanding and decision-making. Knowing where enemies likely are, when to rotate, reading situations. Separates good from great players.
- GG (Good Game)
- Sportsmanship phrase after match. Said by both teams. Sign of respect. Also: “gg wp” (good game well played).
- Glock / Glock-18
- Terrorist starting pistol. 20 round magazine, burst fire mode. Weak damage but high ammo. Strategy: rush with teammates, headshots only.
- Goose / Goosh
- Map location on Dust2 A site. The corner behind boxes near CT spawn. Common hiding spot. Also called: ninja, default.
- Graffiti / Spray
- Custom logo you can spray on walls. Press T (default). Shows your personality/clan tag.
- Nade / Grenade
- General term for all throwables. Types: HE ($300), Flash ($200), Smoke ($300). Essential utility.
H
- Half / Half-Time
- Switching sides at 15 rounds (in 30-round match). Team that was T becomes CT and vice versa.
- Headshot / HS
- Shot to the head. Deals massive damage. Most weapons 1-shot headshot without helmet. Distinct “dink” sound with helmet.
- HE / HE Grenade
- High Explosive grenade. $300, deals damage in radius. Maximum 100 damage if direct hit + no armor. Used to soften enemies.
- Heaven
- Elevated position overlooking area. Map-specific. Examples: Heaven on Nuke (above A site), Dust2 (doesn’t exist on Dust2).
- Hold
- Defend position/angle. Example: “Hold long A” = defend long A corridor. Don’t push, just hold.
- Hostage
- NPC civilians on cs_ maps. CT must rescue, T must prevent. Less common in competitive than defuse maps.
- HP / Health Points
- Player health. Start with 100. 0 = dead. Armor reduces damage taken. Displayed bottom-left corner.
- HS% (Headshot Percentage)
- Percentage of kills that are headshots. Good players: 40-50%, pros: 50-70%. Measure of aim quality.
- HUD (Heads-Up Display)
- On-screen UI elements. Health, armor, ammo, radar, money. Can be customized with mods.
I
- IGL (In-Game Leader)
- Player who calls strategies and makes decisions. Team captain. Requires deep game knowledge and communication skills.
- Inferno / de_inferno
- Popular competitive map. CT-sided, narrow choke points. Banana is key area. Apartments execution crucial.
- Interpolation
- See “ex_interp”. Client-side smoothing of player movement between server updates.
J-K
- Jiggle Peek
- Quickly peeking and unpeeking corner. Gather info without committing. Minimal exposure to enemy fire.
- Jump Scout
- Jumping while shooting Scout rifle. Scout is accurate mid-air (unique in CS). Advanced technique.
- Jump Throw
- Throwing grenade at peak of jump. Consistent distance/trajectory. Bind:
bind "v" "+jump;+attack". Essential for smokes. - KD / K/D Ratio
- Kills divided by deaths. 1.0 = break even, 1.5+ = good, 2.0+ = excellent. Not the only measure of skill.
- Kevlar
- Armor vest. $650, reduces damage taken. Essential purchase. Kevlar + Helmet = $1000.
- Kit
- Defuse kit. See “Defuse Kit”.
- Knife / Knifing
- Melee weapon. Left click = fast slash (15-40 damage). Right click = slow stab (65 damage, 180 from behind). Ultimate disrespect.
- Knife Round
- First round of competitive match, knives only. Winner chooses starting side. Tradition in organized play.
L
- Lag
- Network delay causing stuttering/warping. High ping = lag. Fix: better internet, closer servers, optimize rates.
- LAN (Local Area Network)
- Playing on local network. Zero ping, perfect conditions. LAN tournaments = highest level competition.
- Lit
- Enemy has low HP. Example: “Guy long is lit 80” = he has 20 HP left. Call damage to help teammates.
- Long / Long A
- Map location on Dust2. Long corridor from T spawn to A site. Common AWP duel location.
- Lower / Lower Tunnels
- Map location on Dust2. Underground tunnel from T spawn to B site. Dark, tight quarters.
- Lurk / Lurker
- Player who stays behind team or goes alone. Gathers info, catches rotations. Requires good game sense. Example: GeT_RiGhT.
M
- M4A1 / M4
- CT rifle. $3100, accurate, controllable spray. No 1-shot headshot (unlike AK). Standard CT weapon.
- Map / Mapping
- Game level/arena. Standard competitive maps: Dust2, Inferno, Nuke, Train, Mirage. Custom maps downloadable.
- Match / Competitive Match
- Organized game, usually 15 or 30 rounds. First to 16 wins (in 30-round format). Serious play.
- Mid / Middle
- Central area of map connecting multiple locations. Controlling mid = map control = advantage.
- Molotov / Molly
- Fire grenade. NOT in CS 1.6 (added in CS:GO). Don’t confuse with HE grenade.
- Money / Economy
- In-game currency for buying equipment. Earned through: round wins ($3250-3500), kills ($300), bomb plant ($800), round loss bonus.
- MP5
- Submachine gun. $1500, high fire rate, moving accuracy. Best SMG. Used on anti-eco rounds.
- MR15 (Max Rounds 15)
- Match format: first to 16 rounds wins (out of 30 max). Standard competitive format.
N
- Nade Stack
- Multiple players throwing grenades at same spot simultaneously. Massive damage. Requires coordination.
- net_graph
- Console command showing network stats.
net_graph 3displays FPS, ping, loss, choke. Essential for troubleshooting. - Ninja Defuse
- Defusing bomb while terrorists are alive but unaware. Requires stealth, smoke, and luck. Ultimate clutch move.
- Noclip
- Cheat/practice command. Fly through walls, no collision. Only works with
sv_cheats 1offline. Used for map learning. - Noob / Newbie
- Inexperienced player. Everyone starts here. Not an insult if said kindly. Learn, improve, have fun.
- Noscope
- Shooting AWP/Scout without zooming in. Inaccurate but stylish. Lucky kills are satisfying.
- Nuke / de_nuke
- Competitive map. Two-level structure (upper/lower). Very CT-sided. Yard control essential. Complex, difficult map.
O-P
- OP (Overpowered)
- Something too strong/unbalanced. Example: “AWP is OP on long range maps.” Balance discussions.
- Overpass
- Competitive map added later. Vertical gameplay, bathrooms, park area. Less common in 1.6 than CS:GO.
- P90
- SMG. $2350, 50 round magazine, run-and-gun weapon. Considered “noob” gun but effective in close quarters.
- Peek
- Looking around corner to gather info or engage enemy. Types: dry peek, jiggle peek, wide peek, shoulder peek.
- Pick
- Getting a kill before main engagement. Example: “Got pick long A.” Creates 5v4 advantage.
- Ping
- Network latency in milliseconds. <30ms = excellent, 30-60 = good, 60-100 = playable, 100+ = laggy.
- Pit
- Map location on Dust2 A site. Lowered area with cover. Strong defensive position, hard to clear.
- Plant
- Placing the bomb at bombsite. Takes 3 seconds. Must be in designated zone. Terrorists earn $800 for plant.
- Pop Flash
- Flashbang that explodes immediately as enemy sees it. No time to look away. Perfect flash = guaranteed blind.
- Prefire / Pre-aim
- Shooting at common spot before seeing enemy. Based on prediction/game sense. Effective against peekers.
- Pub / Public Server
- Non-competitive server. Casual play, anyone can join. Less serious than scrims/matches.
- Push
- Aggressive move forward. Example: “Push long A” = attack down long. Opposite of hold/play passive.
Q-R
- Quad
- Four kills in one round. Not quite an ace. Still impressive.
- Quick Switch / Q-Q
- Switching to knife and back quickly. AWP technique: shoot → Q-Q → shoot again faster. Muscle memory shortcut.
- Quickscope
- Zooming in and shooting AWP/Scout immediately. Faster than full zoom. Requires practice and timing.
- Ramp
- Sloped walkway on various maps. Nuke has famous ramp to lower B. Changes vertical positioning.
- Rate / Rates
- Network settings controlling data transfer. Commands:
rate, cl_updaterate, cl_cmdrate. Critical for performance. Rates guide - RCON (Remote Console)
- Remote server administration. Password-protected console access. Allows server control from in-game.
- Refrag / Retake
- Trading kill after teammate dies. Example: Teammate dies → you kill his killer = refrag. Essential team play.
- Reload
- Refilling weapon magazine. Press R. Takes time, leaves you vulnerable. Smart players reload behind cover.
- Retake
- Recapturing bombsite after terrorists take it. CT’s push together to retake. Requires utility and coordination.
- Rifle
- Primary weapon category. AK-47, M4A1, Famas, Galil. Main weapons for competitive play.
- Rotate / Rotation
- Moving from one site to another. CT’s rotate when bomb spotted. Fast rotations through mid, slow around edges.
- Round
- Single game of CS. Max 1:45-2:00 minutes. Ends when objective complete or all players dead.
- Rush
- Fast aggressive push. All players move together quickly. Example: B rush = all 5 T’s sprint to B site. Overwhelming force.
S
- Save / Save Round
- Not engaging, hiding to keep weapon for next round. Economic decision when round is lost. Terrorists often save AWP.
- Scout / Schmidt Scout
- Light sniper rifle. $2750, one-shot headshot, moving accuracy. Popular for jumping shots and eco rounds.
- Scrim / Scrimmage
- Practice match between teams. Less serious than tournament but more serious than pub. Training tool.
- Sensitivity
- Mouse sensitivity setting. How much cursor moves per mouse movement. Critical setting. Pros use 1.8-3.5 @ 400 DPI.
- Short / Short A
- Map location on Dust2. See “Catwalk”. Shorter path to A than long.
- Shoulder Peek
- Showing only shoulder/edge of body around corner. Bait enemy shot, then repeek. Advanced technique.
- Silo
- Map location on Nuke. Large tower structure. Good AWP position, overlooks yard.
- Site
- Bombsite. A or B. Where bomb can be planted. Primary objectives on defuse maps.
- Skin
- Weapon appearance modification. Custom models/textures. Purely cosmetic in 1.6 (unlike CS:GO where skins have value).
- Smoke / Smoke Grenade
- Grenade creating vision-blocking cloud. $300, lasts ~15 seconds. Essential utility for site takes and post-plant.
- Spawn
- Starting location at round start. T spawn and CT spawn. Safe areas, opposite sides of map.
- Spray / Spray Control
- Controlling weapon recoil during automatic fire. Pull down + slight corrections. Essential skill. Spray guide
- Spray Pattern
- Predictable recoil pattern for each weapon. Learn pattern = control spray = more kills. AK goes up then left.
- Squeeze / Squeaky
- Map location on Nuke. Squeaky door from outside to B site. Makes sound when opened.
- Stack / Stacking
- Multiple players defending same site. Example: “Stack A” = all 5 CT’s on A. Risky but strong.
- Strafe
- Moving left/right while maintaining forward momentum. Used in bunny hopping and movement optimization.
- Support
- Player who assists teammates with utility and trades. Throws flashes/smokes for entry fragger. Less flashy but critical.
- sv_cheats
- Server command enabling practice commands.
sv_cheats 1= noclip, god mode, etc. Offline only.
T
- T / Terrorist
- Attacking team. Must plant bomb at A or B site. Start with $800. Win: plant and defend bomb, or kill all CT’s.
- T-Sided
- Map favoring terrorists. Easier for T’s to win rounds. Example: Dust2 is slightly T-sided.
- Tap / Tapping
- Shooting single shots instead of spraying. Better accuracy at range. Requires precise aim.
- Team Damage / Team Kill
- Damaging/killing teammates. Friendly fire = on in competitive (off in many pubs). Penalty: money loss, possible kick.
- Throw
- 1) Tossing grenade. 2) Intentionally losing round/match. Example: “They’re throwing the game.” Toxic behavior.
- Tick Rate
- Server update frequency. 64 tick = 64 updates/second, 128 tick = 128 updates/second. Higher = more responsive.
- Time
- Round timer. Default 1:45-2:00. Displayed top of screen. Running out of time = CT win (if bomb not planted).
- TK (Team Kill)
- Killing teammate. Accident or trolling. Results in money penalty. Too many TK’s = automatic kick/ban.
- Trade / Trade Kill
- Killing enemy who just killed teammate. Essential team play. Good trades win rounds. Example: “Nice trade!”
- Train / de_train
- Competitive map. Railway yard, train cars. Requires utility knowledge. Balanced but complex.
- Triggerbot
- Cheat that shoots automatically when crosshair on enemy. Less obvious than aimbot but still detectable. Don’t cheat.
- Triple / Triple Kill
- Three kills in one round. Solid performance. One away from quad/ace.
- Tunnels
- Underground passages. Dust2 has B tunnels (lower/upper). Confined spaces, close quarters combat.
U-V
- Ump / UMP45
- SMG. $1700, good armor penetration for SMG. Force buy weapon. Effective at close-medium range.
- Underpass
- Map location on Mirage. Underground tunnel from mid to B apartments. Key rotation path.
- Upper / Upper Tunnels
- Map location on Dust2 B. Upper part of tunnel system. Overlooks lower tunnels entrance.
- USP / USP-45
- CT starting pistol. Accurate, silenced, low ammo (12 rounds). Headshots are key. Can remove silencer (don’t – it’s worse).
- Utility
- Grenades: smokes, flashes, HE. Non-lethal tools that enable strategies. Proper utility usage separates good from bad teams.
- VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat)
- Valve’s anti-cheat system. Detects cheats, issues permanent bans. VAC bans = can’t play VAC-protected games. Don’t cheat.
- Vent / Vents
- Ventilation shafts on various maps. Nuke has famous vents between upper/lower. Alternate routes, usually tight spaces.
- VIP
- Game mode from older CS versions. One CT is VIP, must reach extraction. Rarely played in 1.6.
- Voice Chat / Comms
- In-game voice communication. Essential for competitive play. Bind: usually K. Keep calls short and clear.
W-Z
- Wallbang / Wallbanging
- Shooting through walls/surfaces. Certain materials are penetrable. Deals reduced damage. Common spots known by good players.
- Warmup
- Practice period before match starts. Usually deathmatch mode, all weapons available. Get hands ready.
- WH / Wallhack
- Cheat allowing you to see through walls. Most obvious cheat. Instant ban on any serious server. Don’t use.
- Whiff
- Missing easy shots. Choking. Example: “I whiffed that spray so bad.” Happens to everyone sometimes.
- Wide Peek
- Peeking far from corner. Shows more of body but harder for enemy to track. Opposite of tight peek.
- Window
- Opening in wall/building. Various maps have windows. Dust2 mid has famous window to B site.
- Wipe
- Killing entire enemy team. Similar to ace but emphasizes domination. Example: “We wiped them 5-0 on pistol.”
- X-Ray
- Demo/spectator feature showing player outlines through walls. For viewing only, not in actual gameplay.
- Yard
- Map location on Nuke. Outside area connecting spawns and sites. Central control point, heavily contested.
- Zeus
- Taser weapon (not in CS 1.6, added in CS:GO). One-shot kill at close range. Just clarifying it doesn’t exist in 1.6.
- Zoom
- Scope magnification. AWP/Scout/Auto-snipers can zoom. Right-click to zoom in. Two zoom levels available.
